“alexis is a real down-to-earth person in a sea of wedding vendors.”

What words would you use to describe the wedding planning process so far? Stressful? Confusing? Time-consuming? Overwhelming? If.I.have.to.do.one.more.wedding.task.i’m.going.to.lose.it? Insert head explosion emoji here. This season of your life…getting engaged and planning a wedding, should be exciting, new, and full of joy. Thankfully “full of joy” is one of the phrases I would use to describe weddings, along with fun, loving, easy, organized, and fluid.

Not unlike many other wedding vendors I got into the wedding business after I missed working on my own back in 2012. Weddings are a puzzle that I have mastered time and time again. Everyday I help happy, modern and down-to-earth couples craft genuine, meaningful events that look and feel true to them. And it’s fun! Every wedding I create is completely unique and wouldn’t make sense as anyone else’s wedding. One of the first things I do is get to know you as a couple so I can incorporate your story, your life, and your loves into the small details and surprises of the day to delight your family and guests. I love working on every type of wedding, with every type of person because love is love is love and more.

So…if you are looking for someone to take care of the small details in the month leading up to the wedding then I am your gal. If you need help pulling together the design details so your wedding looks cohesive, unique, and new. Hola, it’s moi. Do you need help staying on time, on track and on budget? That’s me (and I’m really nice about it!) Would you like to have all of these things while also being able to fully enjoy your wedding day? You got it. I’m here for you.

/// Lindsay and Aziz

The Avalon, Palm Springs

“alexis is reliable, creative, kind, & calm”- lindsay

Lindsay and Aziz were married at the beautiful mid-century property The Avalon in Palm Springs. While the bride is originally from Palm Desert, the couple lives in San Francisco. We created a design vision in moody purples inspired by a desert sunset. Their sweetheart labradoodle ran down the aisle as ring bearer and they said their vows in the view of the San Jacinto Mountains. Cocktail hour around the pool was followed by dinner with guests seated at long communal tables surrounded by candlelight. Dancing followed in the hotel ballroom while guests sipped signature cocktails dubbed “The Desert Flower” and “The Spicy Wildcat”, a nod to the groom’s alma mater.

/// Lauren and Mike

Private Estate, Encinitas

“i would have been completely lost planning without her”- lauren

Lauren and Mike are two outgoing, well-loved people which was obvious from the 215 guests they hosted at their backyard wedding. The couple got engaged in Mexico and so we created an event using Mexican elements and a blue and white color scheme. The bride went to Tijuana to source blue and white talavera tiles for the tables. We painted terra cotta pots to fill with baby’s breath, and they commissioned an artist to make a wooden ceremony backdrop from old hacienda doors that they now display in their home. Guests danced the night away poolside while snacking on churros made to order. The couple then fed each other churros in lieu of smashing cake.

/// Jena and Michael

Private Estate, La Mesa

“alexis is the perfect combo of creative energy and super organization”- jena

Jena and Michael’s wedding took place at her childhood home surrounded by her mother’s amazing garden. Michael, a talented wood worker, is originally from Texas and he wore white cowboy boots to prove it. The bride, a fine art restorer, chose a gold and ivory brocade dress and chartreuse heels. The groom made their chuppah which we adorned with fall foliage, lush flowers and beer hops. The reception took place on top of the backyard pool which we covered to lay out long farm tables and a dinner served family style. The highlight of the night was the groom grabbing the DJ’s mic and singing along to Ginuwine’s “Pony” while his guests circled around him.

/// Natisha and James

Thursday Club, Point loma

“we could not have imagined our wedding without alexis”- natisha

James and Natisha loved the outdoors and national parks. So much so that James was about to embark on the journey to become a park ranger. They were young and naturally cool. We devised a plan for every single guest table to be representative of a national park. Each had varying centerpieces with cohesive floral elements throughout the vintage ballroom. The Olympic Peninsula table had green moss and river rocks, The Saguaro table had small potted cacti. Nature was everywhere to be seen. During the ceremony the couple fed each other small bits of honey from their pinkies, a nod to the bride’s Persian heritage. Guests enjoyed Persian California tacos and a wild dance party into the night.
